What is the deadline for submitting information?
The survey will be due Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

How much does the survey cost? Is there a discount for participating?
The cost to participants is $500. The cost to non-participants is $1,250.

Why should I participate?
There are several advantages to participating in the survey. In addition to the obvious cost savings, participating ensures that in subsequent years, you will be able to retrieve your information at the click of a button. Participants receive access to exclusive features that will be available in the future, such as online access to the survey results, the ability to do custom queries and generate custom reports.

Who is eligible to participate in the Survey?
To participate in the survey, your organization must be a think tank, research institution, university or university-affiliated research group or institute, or a public policy or social science research organization. There is no size restriction to participate, but you must be able to match at least 5 of the jobs in the survey and provide the minimum organization, practices and benefits information as requested.

Do I have to complete the entire survey in one session?
No. You can complete portions of the survey at any one time. At the end of each session, make sure to log out of the system.

Can multiple persons from our organization complete the survey?
Although you are provided one User ID and password, you can provide this to others in your department that may be in a better position to answer certain sections of the survey. Please note, however, that you should be judicious in your decision to freely disseminate this information, as one could inadvertently change your desired responses.

Do we have to fill out the survey on-line?
No. However, the online survey system is for your convenience. You may fill out the policies and practices on paper, and provide your salary data in an Excel file (in the format specified in the Excel template, which is available for downloading).

We can't find our User ID or Password, what do we do?

What if a topic doesn't apply to our organization?
Click the box at the top of that screen labeled "This section does not apply / insufficient data" and press "Save and stay on current page".
